Abduction and Selling of Non-Muslim Women as ‘Slave’: Boko Haram Upholds the Holy Tradition of Prophet Muhammad

Nigeria has been the worst victim of Islamic terrorism for many years now with its Christian population suffering horrible death and devastations at the hands of Boko Haram Islamic Jihadis, the Nigerian version of Al-Qaeda. Thousands of innocent Christians – from school students to Church attendees to common villagers – have been killed or burned alive by the Boko Haram Jihadis in the past few years. A staggering 1,500 people were killed in the first 3 months of 2014 in Boko Haram violence. Sufferings of the totally innocent Christians at hands Boko Haram Jihadis have been such that the Christians of Nigeria—as I think—have only one way out of it, which is: Partition of the country like the 1947 India-Pakistan, but with a complete separation of the Muslim and Christian populations.

As of latest, a new dimension has been added to the sufferings of Nigerian Christians at hands of Boko Haram Jihadis. On 14 April 2014, Boko Haram militants attacked a secondary school and abducted 300 young girls. In another incident, 8 girls were abducted from a village on May 6, while 12 persons were hacked to death in a separate incident on May 5.

The latest in this abduction saga is the release of an hour-long video by Boko Haram commander Abubakar Shekau, in which he claims responsibility for the abductions and threatens to continue the same. About the abducted girls, he said:

“I abducted your girls... They are slaves and I will sell them because I have the market for selling humans. Allah says I should sell them. He commands me to sell. I will sell women. I will sell.”

He also said that he abducted the girls because they dared to accept sinful western education defying the dictates of Islam and the Sharia.

He added: “the abducted Christian girls have been converted to Islam” and that “they will remain as slave with us.”

Boko Haram’s attack on girls’ school that cater secular western education may not surprise many of us, as we are familiar with numerous similar attacks on girls’ school in Afghanistan and Taliban-dominated areas of Pakistan, where the Taliban militants deem education for girls as un-Islamic. However, what most people will find incredible about the Boko Haram attacks is abducting those school girls to make them “slave” and their intention of selling them in the market, which already appears growing to be common in the Boko Haram strongholds in Nigeria.

Although the Boko Haram commander claimed his abduction and intention of selling the girls was according to Allah’s command to Muslims, the overwhelming majority of ignorant Muslims as well as the deceptive ones among them will surely become vocal in condemning his action, and will claim that there no place of such horrendous actions in Islam.

“This is against the noble and peaceful teachings of Islam, against the holy tradition of Prophet Muhammad,” they will say.

So will many non-Muslim apologists of Islam, for example, the likes of Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Far from being against the spirit of Islam, capturing women by attacking non-Muslims and keeping them as sex-slaves as well as selling them in the market is sanctioned by the Quran and tradition of Prophet Muhammad. For example, the holy Quran says that Muslims, aided by Allah, can attack and kill the non-Muslims, and take some of them, namely the women and children, as slave (captive):

And He (Allah) brought those of the People of the Scripture (i.e., Banu Qurayza) who supported them (i.e. the Quraysh) down from their strongholds, and cast panic into their hearts. Some (adult males) ye slew, and ye made captive some (women and children)… [Quran 33:26–27]

The holy Quran (33:50) also gives divine license to Muslims to use the women, captured in war, as sex-slaves:

O Prophet! surely We have made lawful to you your wives whom you have given their dowries, and those whom your right hand possesses (i.e. slaves) out of those whom Allah has given to you as prisoners of war… [Quran 33:50]

These divine writs of Allah, the Islamic God, were also duly put into action by the Muhammad, the holy prophet of Islam. For example, Prophet Muhammad attacked the Jewish community of Banu Quraiza in 627 AD, and after killing all of their grown-up men (600-900 in number), captured their women and children as slave, who were distributed among his followers. The prophet himself took the 17-year-old beautiful girl Rayhana as his sex-slave. (see Ibn Ishaq, The Life of Muhammad, Karachi, p. 461-470)

The prophet did exactly the same thing in his attack of Khaybar, i.e. after killing the men, he captured the women and children as slaves and distributed them among his followers. There, he took the exquisitely beautiful 17-year-old Safiyah, wife of the young leader of the Banu Nadir Jewish community, as his own sex-slave. (ibid, 510-518)

As far as the Boko Haram leader’s intention of selling the captured school girls are concerned, Prophet Muhammad himself established the tradition of selling captured women in Islam as recorded by Ibn Ishaq (p. 466):

Then the apostle sent Sa'd b. Zayd al-Ansari brother of b. 'Abdu'l-Ashhal with some of the captive women of B. Qurayza to Najd and he sold them for horses and weapons.

So, abducting the women and keeping them as sex and selling them, which the Boko Haram leader intends and claimed to be commanded by Allah, is indeed in keeping with what Allah commands Muslims to do, as well in keeping with the tradition Prophet Muhammad, in following Allah’s commands, had set in motion some 14 centuries ago. And it remained a dominant occurrence in the history of Islam until the West initiated a blanked ban on slavery and forced the Islamic world to comply.

The only difference between the capturing of women by Boko Haram Jihadis and the Prophet Muhammad is that the Prophet’s instances were much more cruel and barbaric, wherein he used to kill hundreds of men of a community before capturing their women and children as slave.

Christian father killed in front of his son

Muslims in Egypt, in the village of Dalga, murdered a Christian man right in front of his son by riddling his body with bullets, then they dragged his body to the mosque. When they arrived at the mosque, they tied his body to a tractor and then mutilated the corpse as they screamed “Allahu Akbar!”

Hours later he was buried in the local cemetery, but on the next day, the Muslims took his body and dragged it through the streets and mutilated him. Most bizarrely they did this three times a day, in a very demonic and diabolical ritual. The victim was running a local barber shop, and the Muslims attacked him while he was working in the business, and they also burned the shop down. The victim’s son, Boutrous, recounted the entire story:

We were at work when we heard Muslims were burning churches… Leaders in the mosques were telling Muslims to attack Christians and kill them… They broke into the shop, took everything and burned the place down They caught my father and shot him multiple times. Then they dragged his body to the mosque… When they reached the mosque they tied his body to a tractor and dragged him through the village again… The next day some people dug up his body and dragged it through the village again. They did this three times that day… We have no money, no clothes, no job, our home is destroyed, and our business is destroyed

The life of the Christian in Egypt is one in which death can come at any time. Anba Macarius, head bishop of Minya’s Coptic Church, described how the Muslims have destroyed many churches, Christian organization and businesses, and how dangerously volatile the Christian life is:

Three hundred homes, 100 businesses, 15 churches and about 10 Christian organizations were destroyed in my province…Christians in Egypt are expecting death at any time…

Digging Out the Graves of Non-Muslims for Vengeance or Looting – A ‘Holy’ Tradition of Prophet Muhammad

Recently a Christian father in Egypt was murdered in broad daylight on the street in front of his son by the followers of the ‘religion of peace’. The killing itself didn’t become big news for the world community, as if it is the right of Muslims to oppress and kill non-Muslims in Muslim-majority countries. However, the incident became a news only after the Muslim barbarians did the unimaginable: They dug out the corpse of the murdered Christian father from his grave, dragged it through the streets, and mutilated it.

This incident will certainly be shocking to non-Muslims. It will also be shocking to most of the ignorant Muslims, who bang their heads five times a day, without ever knowing much about their ‘religion’. But had they known Islam, the ‘Religion of peace’, well enough, this incident would not have been shocking or unusual to them. It is indeed a Sunnah, the holy tradition of Prophet Muhammad, left to his followers to emulate for the eternity to come. There are many incidents during the prophet’s time recorded in Sahih Hadiths, wherein Muslims dug out the corpse of non-Muslims from graves as a vengeance or for looting.

It was impossible for illiterate Muhammad with a bunch of illiterate and low-class companions to fabricate a holy like the Quran for deceiving the Arabs. So he sought guidance and help from a few educated and knowledgeable Christian and Jewish scribes to write for him his ‘holy’ book by plagiarizing from other scriptures. Beyond that, his dominant method of converting the people was either bribing or terrorizing them. One such Christian scribe later on left him and used to say:

“Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him”. Muhammad spared nobody who satirized or criticized him, be they men or women, young or old, free or slave. Soon after the rebellious Christian scribe said those things about Muhammad, he was ‘mysteriously’ dead. Whether or not Muhammad’s hand was behind his death, Muhammad certainly did not allow dead-body to ‘rest in peace’ in grave because of his exposing of Muhammad’s embarrassing secrets. After he was buried, the followers of the holy prophet dug out his dead-body repeatedly from his grave until the relatives of the deceased man became fed up and left the body unattended. Here are the hadiths:

Narrated Anas: There was a Christian who embraced Islam and read Surat-al-Baqara and Al-Imran, and he used to write (the revelations) for the Prophet. Later on he returned to Christianity again and he used to say: "Muhammad knows nothing but what I have written for him." Then ALLAH CAUSED HIM TO DIE, and the people buried him, but in the morning they saw that THE EARTH HAD THROWN HIS BODY OUT. They said, "This is the act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and took his body out of it because he had run away from them." They again dug the grave deeply for him, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. They said, "This is an act of Muhammad and his companions. They dug the grave of our companion and threw his body outside it, for he had run away from them." They dug the grave for him as deep as they could, but in the morning they again saw that the earth had thrown his body out. So they believed that what had befallen him was not done by human beings and had to leave him thrown (on the ground). (Sahih Al-Bukhari: 4:56:814)

Anas b. Malik reported: There was a person amongst us who belonged to the tribe of Bani Najjar and he recited Sura al-Baqarah and Surat Al-i-'Imran and he used to transcribe for Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). He ran away as a rebel and joined the People of the Book. They gave it much importance and said: He is the person who used to transcribe for Muhammad and they were much pleased with him. Time rolled on that ALLAH CAUSED HIS DEATH. They dug the grave and buried him therein, but they found to their surprise that the earth had thrown him out over the surface. They again dug the grave for him and buried him but the earth again threw him out upon the surface. They again dug the grave for him and buried him but the earth again threw him out upon the surface. At last they left him unburied. (Sahih Muslim/ Book 38/ Hadith 6693)

Muhammad’s digging out corpse of the rightful Medina leader, Abdullah ibn Ubay

In another similar incident, Muhammad’s showed his most evil mind by digging out the corpse of his another opponent, Abdullah ibn Ubay, for spitting into dead Abdullah’s mouth. Abdullah was the leader of the city of Medina when Muhammad migrated there. He was of noble birth, and abhorrent toward violence and inclined to peace and justice. As Muhammad’s Muslim gang grew fast after he started raiding and plundering for making a leaving and offered booty to bribe those who would join him, Abdullah became sidelined from the leadership position. He even had to convert to Islam outwardly, but remained respectable in Medina until his death. He opposed Muhammad’s most barbaric actions, often saving thousands of lives from Muhammad’s slaughter—the Banu Qainuqa and Nadir Jews, for example. Barbaric as he was, Muhammad naturally hated him intensely until he died, and showed his hatred toward Abdullah in the most horrifying way in how he dealt with Abdullah’s buried corpse:

Narrated Jabir: The Prophet came to (the grave of) 'Abdullah bin Ubai after his body was buried. The body was brought out and then the Prophet put his saliva over the body and clothed it in his shirt. (Sahih Al-Bukhari 2:23:360)

Jabir reported Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) came to the grave of 'Abdullah b. Ubayy, brought him out from that, placed him on his knee and put his saliva in his mouth and shrouded him in his own shirt and Allah knows best. (Sahih Muslim/ Book 38/ hadith 6678)

MUHAMMAD LOOTED THE GRAVES OF RICH NON-MUSLIMS

Muhammad not only looted the non-Muslims caravans and communities for making a living, but also plundered the graves of rich non-Muslims after their death. The readers may feel stunned to learn about incredible incident:

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As: When we went out along with the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) to at-Ta'if we passed a grave. I heard the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) say: This is the grave of Abu Righal. He was in this sacred mosque (sanctuary) protecting himself (from punishment). When he came out, he suffered the same punishment which his people suffered at this place, and he was buried in it. The sign of it is that a golden bough was buried with him. If you dig it out, you will find it with him. The people hastened to it and took out the bough. (Abu Dawud/ Book 13/ hadith 3082)

Muhammad justifies his digging of graves for looting by blaming the Jews

To water down or justify his most shameful deeds, Muhammad had to invent lies to put the blames on non-Muslims:

Narrated Rabi bin Hirash: ……….Uqba bin 'Amr said, "I heard him (Muhammad) saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds)." (Sahih Al-Bukhari 4:56:659)

MUHAMMAD BUILT HIS MADINA MOSQUE CUM HOUSE ON THE GRAVES OF NON-MUSLIMS

Let us end this article with another shameful incident of Muhammad’s disrespect toward the graves of non-Muslims. Even today, Saudi Arabia has millions of square kilometers of unused barren land, and yet he chose to construct his Medina mosque and the living quarters for his community on the burial ground of Banu Najjar, one of the Jewish tribes that living in Medina when Muhammad arrived there. Muhammad ordered to dig out the corpses of deceased Banu Najjar men and women from their graves and built his mosque and living quarter upon it. This is the way Muhammad showed his gratitude toward Banu Najjar, in whose city his community found refuge in times of desperation. There are many hadiths speaks about this incident:

Narrated Anas: The Prophet came to Medina and ordered a mosque to be built and said, "O Bani Najjar! Suggest to me the price (of your land)." They said, "We do not want its price except from Allah" (i.e. they wished for a reward from Allah for giving up their land freely). So, the Prophet ordered the graves of the pagans to be dug out and the land to be leveled, and the date-palm trees to be cut down. The cut date-palms were fixed in the direction of the Qibla of the mosque. (Sahih Al-Bukhari 1:8:420/3:30:92/ 5:58:269) & (Sahih Muslim: Book4: Hadith1068)

CONCLUSION

Unless Muslims study their sacred religious scriptures and understands the evil teachings and personality of Prophet Muhammad, and the world wakes up to the reality of Islam, and understand how the age-old barbarism of Islam—temporarily in hibernation—is being revived over the past few decades, the future of our children and grandchildren is doomed. The challenge is right in front of us.

How is Rashad Khalifa's Assassination justified in Islam?

What an irony! An idiot and bigot using the nickname "Use Your Brain" who answered the question, declared "HE DESERVED IT." No wonder, the so-called Muslim world is troubled with ignorance, backwardness, oppression, corruption and chaos. When they cannot respond criticism with their brains, which they have betrayed through the teachings of hadith, sunna and sectarian jurisprudence, they just scream KILL, KILL, KILL.

Sunni or Shiite sects are religions very different than islam (peacemaking and submitting to God alone in peace). I have exposed these religions in many of my books, especially in Quran: a Reformist Translation and Manifesto for Islamic Reform.

Dr. Khalifa was an Egyptian-American Biochemist who became a popular author in Muslim world and later dared to criticize the orthodox teaching of the Muslim clerics; he promoted a radical islamic reform by rejecting all sectarian teachings other than the Quran.

By referring to the Quranic verses, Dr. Khalifa demonstrated that today's Islam has little to do with Muhammad's original message, but rather is a religion concocted by scholars using fabricated narration and medieval Arab culture (Hadith and Sunnah), and falsely attributing these to Prophet Muhammad. By incorporating their opinions, along with those mediaeval lies, Muslim scholars have created various orthodox sects promoting vicious and oppressive laws, misogyny, hatred, terror and aggression.

In February 19, 1989 a group of scholars met in Saudi Arabia to discuss the issue of Salman Rushdi. When they issued their fatwa (religious decree) it became headline news in Muslim countries, including my homeland Turkey. Their fatwa was: "both Rashad and Rushdi are apostate." The world knew Rushdi, but who was Rashad? Dr. Rashad Khalifa, a biochemist resident of Tucson, Arizona, had become a popular figure in Muslim countries after he discovered a secret mathematical system in the Quran via computer analysis. The consequence of the mathematical code was too difficult to be accepted by the Muslim clergymen. Consequently, they issued fatwas calling for his assassination.

About 19 years ago, as a young radical Islamist youth leader and a best-selling Turkish author, when I rejected the the teaching of Sunni Islam, I found refuge in the US. However, soon I found out that I was not safe even here. My mentor and friend, Dr. Rashad Khalifa, was assassinated in 1990 by a terrorist organization organized in Salt Lake city. The members of Fuqra, which was later claimed to be affiliated with Ben Laden's newly founded Al-Qaida, stabbed him to death in our Tucson Mosque. The assassination of my mentor and its aftermath was widely covered by Arizona Daily Star and Tucson Weekly and local radio and TV stations. After September 11, the national media picked up the story. For instance, Newsweek and Dan Rather at CBS Evening News declared this incident to be Al-Qaida's first terrorist act in the USA. See: CBS Evening News with Dan Rather, on October 26, 2001; cover story of Newsweek, January 14, 2002, p.44. On March 19, 2002, KPHO-TV at Phoenix, a CBS affiliate, in its evening news, broadcast an interview with me under the headline: Traces of Al Qaeda Cell in Tucson. However, despite its importance in revealing the theological vulnerability of Al-Qaida, this first terrorist event did not receive the attention it deserved.

American foreign policy and sectarian Islam are both incubators of religious terrorism. War against terrorism has two fronts: reformation in American democracy and islamic reform. Unfortunately, the victims of these wars, whether they live in skyscrapers or caves, are mostly innocent people.

Earth is Fixed; or You are Dead

Abd al-Aziz bin Baz was the chief cleric of Saudi Arabia, the head of the Council of Senior Religious Scholars for three decades. He had great impact in regressive and oppressive laws in Saudi Arabia, including the ban on women's driving. A book authored by Bin Baz was published in 1975 carried the following title: "Scientific and Narrative Evidence for that the Earth is Fixed, the Sun is Moving and it is Possible to Go to the Planets." The book was not published by any publishing house; it was published by no other than the Islamic University of Medina. In that book, Bin Baz complains about a new heresy; he is saddened to see, well more accurately, hear, people talking about motion of the earth and he wants to put a stop to that heresy. In page 23, Bin Baz after listing some hadiths issues a fatwa, asserting that those who believe that the earth is rotating are kafirs (disbelievers), and if they were Muslims before they become apostate. The Saudi Sunni leader does not stop there and explains the ramification of fatwa: any Muslim believing in the rotation of earth lose his or her right to life and property; they should be killed! This same cleric was the head of an international conference of Sunni scholars representing 38 countries discussing the Salman Rushdi affair. Then, Saudi Arabia was competing with Iran regarding leadership in the Islamic world and this was the hot issue then. The conference issued a unanimous fatwa in 19 March 1989, condemning Rushdi and Rashad, as apostates. The Western world by then knew Rushdi, but not many westerners were familiar with the second name in the fatwa. Dr. Rashad Khalifa, the late leader of modern reformist movement and the discoverer of the mathematical code of the Quran, in less than a year after this fatwa would be assassinated by a terrorist group affiliated with the Saudi terrorist Osama bin Laden in 31 January 1990, in his Masjid in Tucson, Arizona.

Bin Baz, in his book, quoted some verses and many hadith to support his position that the earth is fixed. After his expressing is religious verdict of death penalty for the apostates who believe in a moving earth, he included the following reasoning as his scientific evidence:

"If the world was rotating as they assert, countries, mountains, trees, rivers, seas, nothing would be stable; humans would see the countries in the west in the east, the ones in the east in the west. The position of the qibla would change continuously. In sum, as you see, this claim is false in many respects. But, I do not wish to prolong my words."

Towards the end of the 20th century, a "university" of a Sunni country publishes such a nonsense authored by the highest ranking religious leader of that country! Considering that the Ottoman chief clerics banned the import and use of printing machine for about 300 years, it becomes clear the reason why the so-called Muslim countries are so lagging behind civilization, socially, politically, and in science and technology.

Ibn Kathir is a popular commentary of the Quran, which is respected because of its reliance on hadith to "explain" verses of the Quran. Ibn Kathir (d. 1372), in the classic commentary carrying his name, makes the following remarks on verses 2:29 and 68:1. For this commentary, he relies mainly on a hadith from Abud Dawud (d. 888), one of the so-called authentic Sunni holy hadith books:

Ibn Abbas told all of you by Wasil b. Abd al-Ala al-Asadi- Muhammad b. Fudayl- al-Amash- abu Zabyan- ibn Abbas: the first thing god created is the pen. God then said to it: write!, Whereupon the pen asked: what shall I write, my lord! God replied: write what is predestined! He continued: and the pen proceeded to (write) whatever is predestined and gong to be to the coming of the hour. God then lifted up the water vapor and split the heavens off from it. Then god created the fish (nun), and the earth was spread out upon its back. The fish became agitated, with the result that the earth was shaken up. It was steadied by means of the mountains, for they indeed proudly (tower) over the earth.

After learning the intellectual level of the believers, collectors, narrators, and commentators of the above hadith, such as Abu Dawud (d. 888), al-Tabari (d. 1516), and Ibn al-Baz (1995), it becomes clear why Muhammad would utter the words in 25:30.

Another female suicide bomber hits Kano Polytechnic, kills six, injures 10

Another female suicide bomber on Wednesday at Kano State Polytechnic killed six people and critically wounded more than 10 others.

This is the fourth of such attacks by a woman in Kano in less than a week.

According to an eyewitness, the teenage suicide bomber, whose age was put at about 15 years, was said to have detonated the bomb at the school bus stop where students were checking for their National Youth Service Corps deployment on the notice board about 2:30pm.

The suicide bomber, who came to the scene about 3:30p.m, wearing Islamic female mode of dressing ‘Hijab’, detonated the belt which then blew her up, killing six persons instantly.

She was hidden in the crowd, a witness, Isyaku Adamu, told the AFP.

“It was a huge crowd and people were jostling to go through the lists,” Adamu was quoted as saying.
The number of people killed or wounded was still unclear, but witnesses claimed six people were killed.

Confirming the incident, Aderenle Shinaba, Kano State police commissioner, said only three persons died, while the 10 injured persons have been conveyed to Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital as well as Murtala Mohammed Specialists Hospital.

The commissioner disclosed that the prevailing suicide attacks on the state are taking a new dimension, as female teenagers are now being used to perpetrate the act.

Shinaba, who spoke while briefing reporters in his office, said “the situation we have at hand now is grave, as a new angel has been introduced to the issue of terrorist activities in the state.

“The situation at hand now calls for vigilance on the part of the command. We have beefed up security everywhere, and we will continue to build on our intelligence gathering mechanism in our quest to tackle the menace at hand”, he stated.
             
The commissioner of police appealed to residents of the state to maintain vigilance and report every suspected individual to the police.

Meanwhile, tension and apprehension has remained high in the state, as the state has recorded five cases of suicide bombers in the past 72 hours.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, although Boko Haram has repeatedly bombed Kano as it radiates attacks outwards from its North East heartland.

Using female suicide bombers in the city appears to be a new tactic of Boko Haram, although they have used them on occasion in the North East.

Two female suicide bombers blew themselves up at a trade fair complex and a petrol station in Kano on Monday, killing one other person and injuring at least six others.

On Sunday, a female suicide bomber killed herself but no one else while trying to target policemen.
In a separate incident on Tuesday, two suicide bombers killed 13 people in attacks on two mosques in the town of Potiskum, in Yobe State.

The police on Wednesday said it had arrested a 10-year-old girl with explosives strapped to her body in Katsina State.
